Soup from chocolate

How do you get soup from chocolate?  It all started with Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.   Chocolate and candy oozes from almost every page in the book.  But soup?  In the story, Charlie Bucket does not have very much food, and he mostly ate cabbage soup.  Yuck!   The girls thought they could make better tasting soup than cabbage soup.  So they chopped, cooked and worked all morning to make vegetable alphabet noodle soup to give to St. Vincent's Food Cupboard.  They were immensely proud of themselves by the end of the day.  "Our soup is deliciously yummy."  They wrote a letter to St. Vincent's and said they hoped the people who needed food liked their soup because they loved it.  One of the girls said, "We made it for people like Charlie. We care about them, and we don't even know them!"

A great big thanks to the chefs' assistant, Anne Sudduth.  We couldn't have done it without her!
